Retired educators and Sedona residents Michael and Carol Dean were never professionally involved in Jewish education. Michael, a professor emeritus at the University of Cincinnati, and Carol, a former special-education teacher, entered the world of Jewish education as students at the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School about 20 years ago, around the time their children were heading off to college."
